As a therapist who focuses his practice on men’s issues, it’s a heavy lift for men just to walk through the door in the first place. Be it in person or virtual. Talking about your issues, your marriage, your career, your addiction, or feeling just stuck in your communication skills/style. ‘It just doesn’t feel manly to talk about my feelings.’ Well, neither is hypertension, strokes, heart disease, poor sleep, gastrointestinal issues, strained relationships or poor immune systems. These are not gender-specific issues. BUT they are what can happen as the result of not dealing with what you are going through. Sure, you can suppress your feelings but you’re going to eventually look like a cartoon character with smoke blasting forth and your eyes spinning like pinwheels.

Therapy works. I’ve been through some things. I know first-hand the trauma of addictions, anxiety, and depression. Working with me is like talking to someone you’ve known for years.
